The Best Appliances

Hi Guys,

Can you tell me what some of the best kitchen tools out there are? For example, best hand blender, food processor, etc?

Recently I bought Mario Batali's prepping bowls from Crate and Barrel and I absolutely adore them. They look and feel rustic and traditional, and still they're durable and dishawasher safe and will not stain.

I don't know about brands - but I know there are some tools in my kitchen I can't live without, like tongs! Those things are fabulous. I think I may need another just so I'm not cross contaminating when I cook, cause they are without a doubt the most useful utensil!

Oh and I like my food processor though it's not fancy or anything, because it comes with two containers - the blender and the food processor. And the food processor comes with two blades, a chopper and a slicer. KitchenAid! And dishwasher safe :)

ooh... lets see... i think that for every cook a good set of knives (and i mean like 3, not 16) can make ALLLL the difference, a good solid cutting board also helps.... i like shun and global knives...
then of course there is the french press which works equally well for coffee and loose tea. those are things i use every day, several times a day.

lastly... the kitchen aid stand mixer is an institution unto itslef!

i could go on and on... but i'll stop here :)

Ditto on the Kitchen Aid stand mixer, I'd be lost without it!

Welcome to my blog! This is space for my random acts of cookery, mostly the successful ones. :)
